The Basecampcoach

Individual Coaching

Sometimes you need space to think. Not advice from well-meaning friends, not another article about leadership strategy – just room to work through what is actually going on and what you want to do about it.

That is what coaching offers. A confidential conversation with someone trained to help you think clearly, see patterns you might miss, and move toward action.

When Coaching Helps

People come to coaching at different moments. Some common ones:

New Beginnings

You are stepping into something new – a leadership role, a different organization, an expanded scope. There is a lot to think through: how to establish yourself, what to prioritize, how to navigate the practical and relational challenges of a new chapter.

Growing Into Leadership

Leadership brings its own challenges. Managing others, influencing without authority, having difficult conversations, maintaining perspective when things get intense. Coaching helps you develop your leadership approach intentionally.

Feeling Stuck

Something is not working, but you are not sure what. Maybe you feel unfulfilled, or restless, or like you are going through the motions. Coaching creates space to explore what is underneath that feeling.

How It Works

Sessions are typically one hour, held virtually. You bring whatever is on your mind – there is no set agenda. I ask questions, reflect back what I hear, offer observations when useful. The goal is to help you think more clearly and decide what to do.

My approach draws on Co-Active coaching, which treats you as naturally creative and resourceful. I am not here to tell you what to do. I am here to help you figure it out.

Adding Hogan Assessment

For those who want deeper self-awareness, Hogan assessments can be incorporated as a tool. These research-based questionnaires reveal your typical style, potential derailers, and underlying values. This gives us data to work with and often surfaces patterns worth exploring.

Different levels of depth are available – we can discuss what makes sense for your situation.
