The Basecampcoach

Agile Coaching

Agile is often misunderstood as a set of practices to implement – standups, sprints, retrospectives. Those can help, but they are not the point. Agile is really about how people work together: being adaptive, learning continuously, delivering value incrementally.

As an agile coach, I help teams and organizations understand this deeper level – and figure out what it means for how they actually work.

What I Do

Team Coaching

Working with teams to improve how they collaborate, solve problems, and deliver. This might involve observing how the team works, facilitating retrospectives, or helping them address specific challenges.

Leadership Coaching

Agile only works if leadership supports it – and that often requires leaders to work differently. I help leaders understand what agile asks of them and develop the mindset and behaviors that enable agile teams to thrive.

Transformation Support

For organizations going through broader agile adoption. This involves working at multiple levels – teams, leaders, the organization as a whole – to build understanding and capability over time.

My Perspective

I believe in a light, flexible approach. Every team and organization is different. What works is figuring out agile principles and then experimenting to find what helps in your specific context.

I also believe the goal is to build internal capability, not dependence on an external coach. My aim is to help people understand agile well enough that they can continue developing on their own.
